ESSE is a super slim cigarette manufactured by Korea Tomorrow & Global, a South Korean company. Product reviews are positive. KT&G was founded more than 110 years ago and rightfully occupies a leading position among tobacco industries in South Korea, and is also one of the five largest cigarette companies in the world.
History of the company
In 1899, a ginseng processing company was founded under the auspices of the Korean Imperial House, but remained private. In 1908, the Korean government established a tobacco monopoly company, and in 1952, the two organizations merged. In the middle of the last century, South Korea began producing cigarettes for export; they successfully compete with Western brands. In 1989, the Korean corporation Tomorrow & Global was established.
In the early 90s, the manufacturer successfully occupied its niche in foreign tobacco markets and began to import products into the former republics of the USSR. There was clearly a shortage of tobacco products and Korean cigarettes got their audience.
Twenty years ago, the company merged with biotech development company Celtrion to become KT&G. Now the company creates different flavors of super slim and classic types with tobacco aroma.
