Lucky Strike Aroma Amber Mix: A bold combination of flavors

Surprising a sophisticated smoker with flavored cigarettes is quite difficult. Almost every manufacturer and brand considers it their duty to release several versions of the product with different flavors. The range of flavors is usually traditional, with cherry, chocolate, and vanilla being the leading ones. To stand out and attract attention, tobacco manufacturers are constantly seeking new ways, including combining flavors. One such successful new product will be discussed in today’s review.

In the second half of summer 2025, Lucky Strike Aroma Amber Mix cigarettes were introduced. I think those who follow the legendary Lucky Strike brand, which, incidentally, is over 150 years old, will also be interested in this version. The cigarettes are produced by BAT. The format is compact.

Note the pack design. On the one hand, it is modern and youthful, on the other, it has a clear nod to retro. For example, the circle, shaped like a disco ball with shards of mirror, hints at a retro feel. And the woman’s profile, facing left, evokes associations with Latin American dances and Brazilian carnival.

At the same time, the pack remains recognizable – the central, striking circular element with the Lucky Strike brand logo remains intact.

Overall, in my opinion, the packaging looks fresh and positive. The design attracts attention. And that’s half the battle.

On the back of the pack, we read the phrase: “aromatic tobacco combined with the vibrant flavor of the capsule.” At the beginning of the review, I pointed out that manufacturers, in search of the optimal solution, have begun combining flavors. Lucky Strike Aroma Amber Mix is a prime example. The tobacco blend itself is flavored (chocolate), plus there’s an orange-flavored capsule inside the filter. Depending on your mood, you can smoke without opening the capsule, or activate it at any time during the smoking process. Honestly, I can’t recall any other cigarette brand using the chocolate and orange flavor combination. And this is certainly a clever idea on the part of the manufacturer. Whether it’s a success or not is up to each individual to judge. I can only express my opinion.

Meanwhile, we continue to explore the product.

Immediately after opening the pack, a light, soft tobacco aroma with hints of chocolate is noticeable. The aroma is natural, not cloying.

Under the lid of the pack is a QR code that, by scanning it with a mobile phone camera, you can get additional information about the brand. Also under the lid is the slogan: “Mix your flavors in one click.”

The cigarette design once again reminded me of retro style. The light brown body of the tube, the beige filter with the brand’s lettering running lengthwise. An orange circle on the filter indicates the exact spot you need to press to activate the flavor capsule. All this, together with the packaging, looks conceptual.

Let’s move on to the tasting. I decided to smoke my first cigarette without opening the capsule. I’d like to note the even and moderately dense packing. From the first puff, a chocolate-coffee note is noticeable, but it doesn’t overpower the main tobacco flavor. I have no complaints about the quality of the tobacco – it smokes pleasantly and smoothly. The slightly sweetened filter adds a touch of freshness to the experience.

Overall, I liked the cigarettes even without the capsule. The coffee and chocolate notes intertwined harmoniously with the tobacco, and the flavor was balanced.

An hour later, I smoked a second Lucky Strike Aroma Amber Mix, this time with the flavor capsule activated. The promised orange tasted more like grapefruit to me, but that doesn’t detract from its merits. The combination of chocolate and orange is unusual, but certainly interesting.

To sum it up, I’ll say it was interesting to try such an original combination of flavors in tobacco. It’s fresh, bold, and even somewhat daring. I hope this isn’t the last version in the Lucky Strike flavor line, and that the manufacturer will soon delight fans with something else. We’ll be waiting.
