Many sources classify Bohem’s new product as cigarillos, and this is the designation indicated on the packaging. This is formally explained by its design: instead of regular rolling paper, a tube made of reconstituted tobacco is used, giving the product a darker color and a visual resemblance to classic cigarillos. In appearance—especially when unopened—the product is indeed closer to cigarillos than to standard white cigarettes. However, when examining the physical dimensions, the differences become obvious. The product’s size corresponds to the traditional King Size format: approximately 84 mm in length and approximately 7.6 mm in diameter. These are standard cigarette dimensions, while most cigarillos are typically thicker or have different proportions. The presence of a filter also makes the product more reminiscent of cigarettes, as many classic cigarillos either lack a filter or use a different design.
In terms of strength and smoking experience, the product also doesn’t fully match typical cigarillos. Traditional cigarillos typically have a richer, denser, and stronger flavor, closer to a cigar profile. With Bohem, the draw is lighter, the flavor is milder, and the aromatic additives play a significant role in the overall experience. The smoking experience is much more reminiscent of flavored cigarettes than classic cigarillos.
Thus, despite its official classification as a cigarillo, this product occupies a middle ground between the two categories in terms of format, design, strength, and consumer characteristics. Therefore, from a practical standpoint, it is perfectly acceptable to call it a cigarette, especially when comparing the size, filter, and overall smoking style.
Brand origin
Bohem cigarillos are produced by the South Korean company KT&G (Korea Tobacco & Ginseng Corporation), one of the largest tobacco producers in Asia. The company was founded as a state monopoly, later privatized, and began actively developing exports. The Bohem brand was created as a product with a European style and design, which is even reflected in the name (a reference to the “bohemian” style). The main focus was on combining tobacco flavor with distinct aromatic notes.
Bohem features
These cigarillos are unique in their composition. Unlike regular cigarettes, which use cut tobacco, cigarillos are rolled from whole tobacco leaves, preserving all the natural flavors and oils, making smoking more intense and aromatic. Furthermore, these cigarillos are paper-free, further enhancing the purity of flavor.
Bohem cigarette types
Our selection includes various types of cigarillos, each with its own unique characteristics. For example, vanilla or coffee-flavored cigarillos offer a soft and sweet taste, while classic cigarillos have a more traditional and rich tobacco flavor. This makes Bohem the ideal choice for a variety of taste preferences.
